Aluminum profiles are also called aluminum extrusion profiles. Extrusion is the process of pushing a heated aluminum billet through a die of the desired cross-section with a certain pressure. The formed profiles are lightweight, strong, corrosion-resistant and shaped like a die opening. Usually, the mold is made of hard steel or carbide. There are two conventional methods of extruding aluminum, direct extrusion (same as forward extrusion) and indirect extrusion (same as reverse extrusion). There are various classification methods for aluminum profiles. According to aluminum materials, aluminum profiles can be divided into 1100 aluminum profiles, 6061 aluminum profiles, and 6063 aluminum profiles. According to different uses, it can be divided into architectural aluminum profiles, industrial aluminum profiles, etc.
