Shadow gap skirting profile is an architectural aluminum skirting system designed to create a recessed shadow line between the finished wall and floor. Unlike conventional skirting boards that project from the wall surface, the profile creates a controlled setback at the bottom of the wall, producing a continuous shadow gap while protecting the lower wall edge and providing a defined termination for plasterboard, drywall or wall panel systems.

- For architects, interior contractors, wall panel manufacturers and building material distributors, an aluminum shadow gap skirting profile provides a more consistent solution than manually forming a recessed skirting detail. The extruded profile establishes the position of the wall finish and floor junction, helping maintain a straight and uniform shadow line across long walls and commercial interior projects.
- The profile can be manufactured from 6063-T5 aluminum as a common architectural extrusion material. Its cross-section can be engineered according to the required shadow gap width, skirting height, wall thickness, panel thickness and floor interface. Available surface treatments can include anodized, powder coated, brushed and mill finish, with custom RAL colors for project-specific requirements.
